Kalderetang Luncheon Meat

Ingredients:
1 can Luncheon Meat, sliced/cubed
2-3 cloves of garlic, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
2 pcs tomatoes, sliced
1 cup water
1 tsp patis (fish sauce)
1 cup sliced potatoes
1/4 cup tomato sauce
saffron, dash
salt, a pinch or two
chopped chili 


Procedure:
  • Saute garlic and onions. 
  • Add tomatoes. Cook well until saucy substance is produced
  • Add patis, safron, and chili..
  • Gradually add water
  • Add potatoes and let the mixture boil. 
  • When potatoes are cooked, add tomato sauce. Let it simmer.
  • Add the cubed luncheon meat. Let it simmer.
Serves: 2-3

Tuna Teriyaki

Ingredients:
1 can tuna flakes in oil
5 tbsps soy sauce
1 tsp chopped garlic
1 tbsp chopped ginger
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 tsp sugar
1 tbsp sesame seeds


Procedure:
  • Separate tuna from its oil. 
  • Use the oil to saute garlic,onion, ginger.
  • Add tuna flakes.
  • Add soy sauce and bring to boil. 
  • Add sugar. Let the mixture simmer.
  • Plate and drizzle with sesame seeds.
Optional: If you want a spicy version, just add chopped chili after adding sugar. 


Serves: 2-3
